WORLD BEYOND OFFICIAL BLU-RAY RELEASE

World Beyond now has an official Blu-Ray/DVD release date. That date is June 15th, 2021. I will also be interviewing the WORLD BEYOND cast pretty soon, to top off the buzz for this release.

For those new and old to the franchise, World Beyond is the second spin-off show of The Walking Dead. The first, being Fear.

World Beyond stars Annet Mahendru (Jennifer “Huck” Mallick), Nico Tortorella (Felix Carlucci),  Alexa Mansour (Hope Bennett), Ayliah Royale (Iris Bennett), Nicholas Cantu (Elton Ortiz), Julia Ormond (Elizabeth Kublek), Hal Cumpston (Silas Plaskett) and Ted Sutherland (Percy).

STORYLINE

The plotline follows mother and daughter duo Jen and Elizabeth, who are high-ups in the CRM. Unfortunately, while Elizabeth wants to use the Bennett sisters to help improve the future, her daughter wants to save them. So much, that she defied the CRM’s orders even before leaving for such a mission.

This isn’t the first time her bleeding heart has gotten her into trouble either, and my friend Mahendru does this so seamlessly giving the character of Mallick dimensions that would require an entire movie franchise, in just ten episodes.

Her fanbase has been wildly vocal to give her a lead role in Fear: The Walking Dead, particularly with the large CRM storyline involving Maggie Grace’s Althea, and Sydney Lemmon’s Isabelle.

It’s apparent that she works with both Isabelle, and Anne (The Walking Dead/Pollyanna McIntosh), and all characters have shown to have more than enough soul that the CRM itself lacks. As the timelines all match up now, after the time jumps.

THEORIES:

There are, however–more odd theories. Such as Hope being Jennifer’s daughter (chew on that for a while.) As well as many unanswered questions.

Scott M. Gimple has been very vocal about the second season diving into the CRM in particular, and earlier this year Mahendru shared both an Instagram image of Jenny back on the CRM helipad with a helicopter, along with an all-white outfit and a mask.

CRYPTIC CLUES:

Both of the lead producers have also shared various vehicles with the CRM logo, and a plethora of cryptic images depicting the apocalyptic world right in Richmond, Virginia.

Also, some familiar faces might be in store for season 2.

WHAT CAN WE EXPECT?

So, this begs the question. Will Hope and Jen destroy the CRM from the inside? Can Iris and the defectors of five miles North (Jen’s directions to safety and to Felix’s boyfriend Will (Jelani Alladin) fight back?

Or will Elizabeth come to her senses and instead ditch their general Beale and come back swinging to make the CRM what it should be?

No more A’s. No more B’s. Rick Grimes is also inside of the CRM (but won’t be revealed until the movies). But we can bet that our bleeding hearts are taking good care of him.

Will the kind-hearted Silas and his best friend Elton hang out with Percy a little longer? Or can we be terrified enough to see Jen make the ultimate sacrifice for her friends?

Relive all of your favorite events (right down to the epic fight scene on FIRE) on the DVD/Blu, coming atcha’ June 15th!
