The Walking Dead” World Beyond trailer starts a 3 minute and 8 sec war.

The Walking Dead: World Beyond is a long-covered favorite in this magazine. And Annet Mahendru never disappoints as she looks like a usual nervous wreck trying to hide behind a carefree persona telling Hope Bennett (Alexa Mansour) that the CRM’s walls are safe.

Yet both of the characters know that on the inside, it’s not. Together, they are going to have to take it out from the inside. Both are known to be rebellious with a child-like spirit, and both know that Jennifer sent Felix, Iris, and Will to safety five miles north with a like-minded pure-hearted community.

AMC’s official The Walking Dead: World Beyond keyart, which seems to take some inspiration from TWD Family’s own Johnny.

BUT WHAT ABOUT THE NEFARIOUS GENERAL COMMANDER BEALE? THE SHOT-CALLER.

Can Elizabeth Kublek (Julia Ormond) be swayed too? Or is Commander General Beale too powerful? We have seen what they did to Barca, who only knows what they would do to his right hand.

HELLO, JADIS

Welcome back to The Walking Dead’s Anne (Pollyanna Mcintosh) who makes an appearance as a crew-cut ten-year apocalypse-worn Jadis who just wants to catch up.

LOVE IS IN THE AIR…

We’ve also got the ever adorable smooching scenes between favorites Felix and Will, and there looks to be love in the air for Jennifer Mallick and a mystery man, as well as Percy and Iris, as well as Elton and a newcomer who wants to hold his hand.

BYE, BYE … OMAHA?

What we can see, is that The Civic Republic Military is standing back while a rather large city (it appears to be Omaha), is hit by a mammoth column, a herd of empties (as we heard in the teaser clip in Comic Con). Add some C4 and a kaboom. Threat gone. Does it look like it brings The Alliance of Three down to just Portland? Or is everything gone?

DAMN IT, LYLA. PUT THAT SANDWICH DOWN.

Leo seems to be taking matters into his own hands, while we finally see poor Samuel Abbott in the flesh.

Dr. Samuel Abbott (S.J. Ovaska)

Lyla seems to look distraught, proving that she isn’t as bad as we all thought she might be.

Still, what kind of woman eats a sandwich with lettuce while your former colleague is tied up and being studied as an A? Not only that but there were multiple subjects to study while eating your lunch.

THANK YOU FOR SAVING RICK GRIMES.

Anne once referred to Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) as an A before she saved him, ultimately calling him a B. A’s are experimented on for a cure. B’s are reinstated into society (possibly Silas).

PLATONIC SOULMATES.

It also looks like we’re about to see Felix and Jen interact once more when he comes up behind her and smacks her right in the back of the head. As said months before–it’s going to be a war. And ironically, that is exactly what the trailer’s tagline is.

THEY’RE THE REASON THE ONLY FAMILY WE GOT, IS DEAD.

Ted Sutherland as Percy Delmado.

Will Percy Delmado seek revenge on Jenny for his Uncle Tony? He’s got a weapon. Perhaps he will take Silas’s words to heart.

AND WHILE WE’RE ON THE SUBJECT…

(And I’ll remind any of you Huck haters out there, that she shot Tony humanely in the temple, and then wrenched his skull in post-mortem to make it look like Silas did it out of a fit of rage to purposely get Silas and Elton out of the picture and safe. If Silas went, then she knew Elton would go. )

OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE: SCOTT GIMPLE TALKS ANNE.

“We are thrilled to have the terrific Pollyanna McIntosh back as Jadis, and we’re excited for viewers to see how she collides with the characters in this part of the Universe,” said Gimple. “In our story, years have passed — we’ll get hints of what happened with that fateful helicopter ride and learn Jadis has new allies and alliances; she is a big part of connecting the CRM and Three Circles mythology that’s seen throughout all three series.  We can’t wait to share it all with fans of the TWDU,” said Gimple.

“I love the character of Jadis and I love this world so getting to inhabit her again in collaboration with the talented team at The Walking Dead: World Beyond in beautiful Richmond, Virginia was a joy. I hope audiences will catch up with the first season now so they can fully enjoy this epic final season in October,” said McIntosh.

SEASON 2 IS…WAR.

Season two of The Walking Dead: World Beyond concludes the epic story of Iris (Royale), Hope (Mansour), Elton (Cantu), and Silas (Cumpston) — four friends who journeyed across the country on a mission that transformed everything they knew about themselves and the world.

As they face off against the mysterious Civic Republic Military and fight for control of their own destiny, goals will shift, bonds will form and crumble, and innocence will be both lost and found.

Produced and distributed by AMC Studios, the series is executive produced by Co-Creators Gimple and Showrunner Negrete, Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, David Alpert, and Brian Bockrath.

CATCH THE SEASON 2 PREMIERE OF WORLD BEYOND ON SEPTEMBER 26TH (AMC+) & OCTOBER 3RD (AMC).
