Father Stu tells the true story of a boxer, Stuart Long (fellow Bostonian Mark Wahlberg) who turned to his calling as a Catholic priest.
Father Stuart also suffers from inclusion body myositis, which is an inflammatory muscle disease in older individuals.
Television darling, Annet Mahendru (The Americans, The Walking Dead: World Beyond) is along for the ride in the film, along with Jacki Weaver (Animal Kingdom), Mel Gibson (every movie under the sun), and Cody Fern (fan-favorite American Horror Story: Apocalypse), just to name a few.
Mahendru has recently made her return back to social media after playing the passionate bleeding heart Jennifer “Huck” Mallick on World Beyond.
Congratulations to Mahendru with two kids (one-half of Louie Gibson) and on the win for MANIFEST WEST at the Mammoth Film Festival.
You can find FATHER STU in theaters, on April 13th released by Sony Pictures.
To quote Mahendru. “Go see my movie, babies!”
